Betty J. Weddle

Betty J. Weddle, 74 of Lima, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 09, 2011, at 12:15 p.m, at her residence. She was born Aug. 27, 1936, in South Bend, Indiana, to Walter and Henrietta (Goachimiac) Labis who preceded her in death. On August 13, 1955, she married Vincent J. Weddle who died on June 24, 2010.

Mrs. Weddle had been a homemaker. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Lima, and a longtime volunteer at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima, She loved the Cincinnati Reds and the Fightin’ Irish of Notre Dame.

She is survived by her children: John A (Michele) Weddle of Jackson Center, Ohio, Cynthia “Cindy” Phelps of Bellefontaine, Ohio, five grandchildren: Justin, Brandi, Heidi, Kella and Nicole, six great grandchildren; her siblings: Delores (Joseph) Milewski and Susan Labis both of South Bend, IN

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah, a brother, Donald Labis, and a sister, Margie Kozlowski.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, from 1-3, and 5-7 p.m. at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home 506 N. Cable Rd. Lima, Ohio.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, at St. Charles Catholic Church with Fr. Stephen Blum officiating.
