

Carl James “Jim” Seaman, 67, of Lima died Friday January 6, 2012 in the ER of Lima Memorial Health Systems. He was born on March 15, 1944 in Hamilton, Ohio to Carl C. & Helen J. (Spoonhauer) Seaman and they preceded him in death. On August 8, 1986 he married Margaret A. Brenneman and she survives.
He is also survived by his children: James Wade (Janna) Seaman, Jerry Lee (Penny) Seaman, Karen Michelle Seaman all of Lima; his stepchildren, Bobbie J. Brenneman of Lima and Russell C. (Missy) Brenneman, Jr of Greenville, Ohio; his grandchildren, Jamie (Joe), Stephanie (Phil), Dakota, Michael, Nathan and Christian; his great grandchildren, Jahniyah, Philip and Anjolique. He is also survived by his siblings, Sandra Seaman of Grand Junction, CO, Michael Pete (Judy) Emehiser of Lima and Laura Mae “Susie” (Ronnie) Mellott of McConnelsburg, PA. He is survived by nieces and nephews: Christopher, Cheryl, Carol, Pam, Alicia, Randy and Cliff.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Betty, his stepfather Harold “Buck” Emehiser and his great granddaughter: Jennah.
He is a retired USPS Mail Carrier. He is a 13 year Marine Corps Veteran serving two tours in Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1275 and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 96, he was a Carry Concealed Weapons Instructor and he loved the Dallas Cowboys.
Friends may call Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 2:00 till 6:00 p.m. at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be held at a later date at Fairmount Cemetery, where there will be Military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1275.
