

Demetrius Glenn, 49, of Lima, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at his residence. He was born Oct. 10, 1965, in Lima, to Joseph and Ruthie (Lindsey) Glenn who survive in Lima. He was formerly married to Kimberly Tibbs, who also survives in Lima.
Also surviving are three children: Tiffany Glenn, Savannah Austin and Tadrik Coleman all of Lima; five grandchildren: Devares Glenn, Kobe Glenn, Jayven Glenn, Kimari Glenn and Lyric Coleman; two stepchildren: Jamea Evans and James Evans both of Lima; eight siblings: Carol (Jerry) James, Joann “Tessy” Glenn, Derry (Judy) Glenn, Ronald Glenn, Duran Glenn, Rodriel Glenn, Altrovise Glenn and Aaron Glenn all of Lima; aunt Helen Liles and cousins Willie B. Peoples, Lindsay Gamble and Rosebud Glenn all of Lima; foster siblings: Tivieda Matthews of Detroit, Sabrina Matthews of Lima, Wayne Tally of Virginia Beach and Grant Bowers of Lima; a special friend, Mea Austin of Lima; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Glenn; and grandparents: Marion Watson and Fannie Mae Lindsey, and Eddie and Mary (Watkins) Glenn.
Mr. Glenn was an operator at B.E.F. Kettle Creations, and formerly worked at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Ex-Cell-O, the Water Treatment Plant for the City of Lima and D.T.R. in Bluffton. He served his country by being in the U.S. Army. He was a 1984 graduate of Lima Senior High, a member New Life Christian Ministries and American Legion Post 96. He was involved with the Rent a Kid Program, the I Have A Dream Award and was on the advisory board for the Community Action Commission Hire an Adult Program.
Services will begin at 1:00 p.m., Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at New Life Christian Ministries, 202 W. Kibby Street Lima, Ohio with Pastor Edward Tibbs officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, with military rites by V.F.W. Post 1275 and the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
His wake will be held at the church on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, from 4-8 p.m., where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m.
