Elaine Marie Copeland

Elaine Marie Copeland, 66, of Lima, was received into eternal glory at 9:19 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born Feb. 17, 1951 in Lima, to Booker T. and Annie L. (Banks) Henderson who preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Pastor Gary A. “Grapes” Copeland Sr., whom she married on May 22, 1969.

Also surviving are her children: Gary A. (Deb) Copeland, Jr., Anthony T. Copeland both of Lima, Tina M. (Daryl) Copeland-Hall of San Antonio, TX; and her grandchildren: Micah M. Hall and Daryl L. Hall, Jr. She is also survived by her siblings: Patricia Skipworth, Joyce Williams, Gloria Horton, Karen (Houston) McClendon, Glenna Gooding all of Lima; Shirley Copeland of Los Angeles, CA and Terry Henderson of Crossville, TN.

Mrs. Copeland is preceded in death by her siblings: Wayne Henderson, Gary Henderson, Richard Henderson and Rita Godsey.

She was a member of Greater Works Ministry Church of the Living God. She enjoyed working with children at The Ark Daycare. She had a beautiful spirit with a passion for helping others and spending time with her family.

Her family will receive guests from Noon until 1:00 p.m., Monday, Nov. 27, 2017 at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Dennis Ward officiating. Memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m.
