Gladys McDonald Banks

.Gladys Banks, 78 of Lima died 11:10 p.m. Thursday evening May 5, 2011 at Lima Memorial Health Systems. She was born on November 24, 1932 in Laurel, Mississippi to Abe and Endie (Arrington) McDonald and she preceded her in death. On July 24, 1972 she married Ray V. Banks and he survives in Lima. Mrs. Banks was a Homemaker and a member of Calvary Chapel of Praise. Beside her loving husband Ray V. Banks, she leaves to cherish her precious daughters: Johnnie Dell Florence, Sabrina (Joe) Florence, JoAnn Durr and Carmen Banks all of Lima; Coralean (Harold) Pittman of Columbus, her four sons: Paul Durr, Roland (Ruth) Durr, Johnnie (Lisa) Banks all of Lima and Thomas Durr of Germany, thirty four grandchildren, forty two great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many other relatives and friends. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a son: Cornelius Durr, three great great grandchildren, four sisters: Thelma Taylor, Selma McDonald, Dessie Mayo, Eva Mae Newell and four brothers: Elijah McDonald, Curley McDonald, Goldie McDonald and Earlie McDonald. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Calvary Chapel of Praise 1601 Rebecca Drive Lima, Ohio with Pastors Jackie Green and Brandon Green officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends may call Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home 506 N. Cable Rd. Lima, Ohio.
