

Glenn R. “Bob” Gladwell, 83 of Lima passed away 6:35 a.m. Friday morning, August 3, 2012 at Springview Manor Nursing. He was born on November 12, 1928 in Lima to Glenn W. and Margaret A. (Smith) Gladwell and they precede him in death. On September 10, 1949, he married Elizabeth “Dutch” Tippie and she passed away on October 15, 2008.
Mr. Gladwell worked in construction at Tippie’s Roofing, prior to that he was employed at the Tank Depot for many years. In his younger days he loved to go hunting; he loved the Atlanta Braves, he won numerous ribbons with his dogs at Leafy Oak in Kenton. He loved fishing with his family and friends. He was a member of the Pilgrim Lighthouse Church in Lima.
Bob is survived by his children, Linda (Charles) Sneary of Lima, Robert (Yvonne) Gladwell of Toledo, Connie (Robert) Miller of Lima and Nancy (Larry) Martin also of Lima. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; he is survived by his siblings, Robert “Butch” (Virginia) Gladwell of Columbus Grove, Gladys Phillips of Lima and Ruth Williams also of Lima. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Patty Jean Hefner and Cheryl Lynn McGuire, 2 granddaughters, Jenny and Robin, a great grandson, Preston, and a sister, Florence Hendrickson.
Funeral Services will be 12 Noon, Monday, August 6, 2012 at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home with Rev. John Yohe officiating. Burial will follow in Bluelick Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday, August 5 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
