Gwendolyn Gwen L Waller Bowman

Arrangements under the direction of Siferd-OriGwendolyn L. “Gwen” Bowman, 74 of Elida passed away Friday, January 31, 2014 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born on July 22, 1938 in Lima to Royal Dale & Edith Marie (Creamean) Waller and they preceded her in death. She was married to Silas “Jack” Bowman who died in 1995. She was also preceded in death by a grandson Jeremiah Bradley, three brothers and two sisters.

Gwen is survived by her daughters, Debra Wilson of Paducah, KY and Renee (Raymond) Metcalf of New Carlisle, OH. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cassandra Marie Wright, Brian E. Metcalf and Crystal L. Metcalf; her great grandchildren, Christian, Kaden, Samantha, Jordyn, Shelby and Riley. She also leaves behind her siblings, Vertrice Smith of Wellston, OK, Sandy (Rick) Martin of Columbus Grove and Roy Waller of Lima. She has many, many loving nieces and nephews including Jim and Teresa Martin who were her caretakers.

Mrs. Bowman had retired from Dana Corp where she had been employed as a factory worker for over 20 years. She was a member of the Lima Eagles Auxillary #370. She loved her family and her beloved cats, Blackie and Whitie.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 3 rd at Memorial Park Cemetery.
