.Herb Bartlett, 63, of Cridersville, died at 5:37 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 8, at Lima Memorial Health Systems. He was born Sept. 20, 1947, in Lima, to Herbert B. and Theda May (Klingler) Bartlett who preceded him in death. On May 13, 1967, he married Loretta M. Boerder who survives in Cridersville.
Mr. Bartlett was a maintenance technician at Dana Corp. Previously, he had worked at Westinghouse for 31 years. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps serving in Viet Nam. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 330, and The AMVETS Post 0333, both of Wapakoneta. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a baseball fan, a fan of NASCAR , especially Rusty Wallace.
Also surviving are 3 children: Brett Bartlett of Wapakoneta, Bradd Bartlett of Cridersville and Natalee Bartlett of Lima; four grandchildren: Madison, Mia, Marshall and Bradyn; siblings: Greg (Jan) Bartlett of Lima and Lisa (Chris) Hall of Fostoria.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, with Rev. Gerbert Darlington officiating. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Military rites conducted by VFW Post 8445, Wapakoneta.
Visitation will be on Friday, from 2-4, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
