

Ivan Lloyd Davis, 76, of Lakeview, died at 5:45 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born Apr. 25, 1939, in Kewanee, IL to Leroy A. and Helen A. (Lapham) Davis who preceded him in death. On Mar. 13, 1985, he married Shirley Sue (Inbody) Bradley who survives.
Mr. Davis is also survived by his children: Brad (Beatriz) Davis of St. Cloud, FL and Monica (David) Cowan of Lima; his stepchildren: Debra K. (Karl “Duke”) Mauk, Greg Bradley, Michael (Dawn) Bradley and Herbert Bradley, Jr. all of Lima; a grandson, Bruce Lee; four siblings: Phil (Jill) Robinson of Easley, SC, Sherry Swick of Elida, Glenn (Charla) Robinson of Columbus Grove, and Kenny (Patty) Robinson of Greer, SC; many step grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a stepson, Jeff Bradley.
“The Jerky Man” as he was known around Indian Lake, was a retired mail route carrier for the U.S. Post Office. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and had been the Canteen Manager for American Legion Post 96, Lima. He was a life member of the AMVETS Post 1 and V.F.W. Post 1275 both of Lima, American Legion Post 0330, Wapakoneta, F.O.E. Aerie 3615 and Moose Lodge 1533 both of Indian Lake and the D.A.V. He enjoyed visiting the Tilton Hilton, Froggy’s and Achesons.
In honoring his wishes, Ivan will be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date at the Lake.
