

June K. Hoover, 92 of Elida passed away 5:04 p.m. Thursday afternoon February 3, 2011 at Van Crest of Delphos. She was born on June 24, 1918 in Spencerville to Edon and Luro (Richardson) Core and they preceded her in death. In May 30, 1941 she married Virgil C. Hoover and he died on January 11, 1994.
She is survived by her children: Ben (Linda) Hoover of Elida, Jay (Debbie) Hoover of Byron, Illinois and Harold “Hud” (Sheryl) Hoover of Elida, twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a brother: Jack Core of Kossuth.
Mrs. Hoover was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Elida, The M & M’s, and the Women’s Group. She had been employed at JoAnn’s Fabric and had been a homemaker.
Along with her parents and her husband Virgil, she was preceded in death by a daughter : Nancy Troyer and her husband Marc, June’s siblings: Glen, Edgar, Hank and Howard Core, Betty Foust, Ruby Priddy, Jane Darbyshire, Mary Burtchin and Ruth Bagel.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Immanuel United Methodist Church Elida, Ohio with Rev. Kimberly Pope-Seiberling officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Mennonite Cemetery.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, February 6th from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
