Lula F. Ciminillo, 68 of Lima passed away 10:08 a.m. Sunday, December 9, 2012 in the Emergency Room of St. Rita’s Medical Center. Mrs. Ciminillo was born on March 30, 1944 in Lima to Theodore and Virginia (Shaner) Rolston , they preceded her in death. On March 3, 1962 she married Robert L. Ciminillo, he passed away March 28, 2004.
Lula had been employed in retail working at Gregg’s Department Store. She and her husband owned Joey’s Party Shop. She was a member of the Ladies Aux. of C.A.I.O., she had been a former member of the Lima Eagles, Elks and our local U.N.I.C.O. She loved shopping, gambling, playing Bingo; being with her family especially her grandkids and she loved her dog, Angel.
Mrs. Ciminillo is survived by six children: Robbin Broaddrick of Sidney, Jon A. (Linda) Ciminillo of Tipp City, Theodore (Heather) Ciminillo of Lima, Dominic (Rebecca) Ciminillo of Dublin, Vincent Ciminillo of Orlando, Florida and Vera Ciminillo of Decatur, GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joshua, Che, Ty, Ashley, Rachel, Kaitlyn, Cody, Kelsey, McKenzy, Alaina and Jacob; her great grandchildren, Naomi and Briley, her sister, Pamela McGill of Lima, her sister-in-law, Helen Rolston of Lima, her stepfather, William DeRose of Lima, her stepbrother, Tony DeRose of Lima and her mother-in-law, Vera Ciminillo all of Lima.
Along with her parents and her spouse she was also preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Collar and a brother, Leroy Rolston.
Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home with Father David Ross as Celebrant, burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery.
Family and friends may call Wednesday, December 12 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home.
