Michael Griffith

Michael Griffith, 62 of Sidney formerly of Lima, passed away at 1:55 a.m. Thursday morning, January 24, 2013 at the Sidney Care Center in Sidney, Ohio. He was born on September 1, 1950 in Lima to Calvin Eugene Griffith and Mattie Lou Webb and they preceded him in death. Michael is survived by his daughter, Chevon T. Booker, (Tony) of Los Angeles, California, his brothers, Calvin Griffith, III (Cynthia), Kendal V. Ward of Lima, Carlton W. Griffith, (Blonda) of Ft Washington, MD, and a sister, Linda McGee (Jay). He also leaves many other family members and close friends. Michael was a welder by trade. He was an Army veteran serving in Vietnam. Along with his parents, his stepfather, William T. Webb and his stepmother, Catherine E. Griffith, 1 brother, Rickmond E. Griffith, preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dennis Ward, officiating. Funeral Services will be held at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral at Woodlawn Cemetery where there will be Military Graveside Rites by VFW Post 1275. Family and friends may come on Monday, January 28 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home. Condolences can be made at www.siferd-oriansfuneralhome.com

I am so sorry for your loss of Michael. I met Michael @ the Shelby County YMCA. He was always friendly and quick to smile with a hearty laugh. He is missed already. May God give you peace during this time. Remember the good times.

i just would like yto tell the family of Michael, that i am very sorry for your loss. I also meant Mike at sidney shelby YMCA. He brought so smiles, fun, and laughter to sooo many people including myself. I would like to tell Chevon personally that i am so sorry for your father's loss. HE LOVED and ADORED YOU! i meant you once at the ymca while u were in town visiting your father.....he was so excited to see, hear, or talk with you. Always remember how much he loves you.......

I am so sorry for your loss. Michael was a wonderful man and I enjoyed getting to know him at the Sidney YMCA. He always asked about my family and shared the beautiful pictures of his daughter whom he was so proud of. Your family has my sincerest condolences!
