Robert Junior Legge Sr, 67, of Lima, passed away at 4:06 pm, Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born on March 26, 1951, in Kenton, OH, to Robert Legge and Fleta Mullins who preceded him in death. On June 6, 1970, he married Margie M. Coon who also precedes him in death.
He is loved and missed by his siblings: Junette (Ronnie) Longbrake and Paul Legge; his children: Robert Legge, Jr., Bobbi (Mark) Frysinger, and Erica (Thomas) Dalton; many beloved grandchildren: Shane Bowers, Brandi (Matthew) Brown, Andrea (Thor) Murphy, Tyler (MaryElizabeth) Slater, Justin and Logan Frysinger; Camren, Brayden, Emalie, Carlee Dalton, and many more grandchildren that “adopted” him; and his pride and joy great-grandchildren: Conner, Collin, Chloie, Carter, Carson, Braeden, Caelyn, McKenna, Chelsea, Camden, Caleb Robert, Gabriella & Tyler, Jr., Caeden and Cruz. He is preceded in death by his sister, Shirley (Steve) Hattery.
He worked many years at the Ford Motor Plant in Lima. He honorably served his country as a soldier in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
His greatest passion was his grandkids and great-grandchildren; he had the biggest heart. They knew him best as Pam-Paw. They will never forget the spontaneous visits to IHop and Applebee’s. He had many war stories that brought a smile to your face. His laugh and smile were contagious; he could light up a room! He was simply amazing! He was not your average grandpa, remembered for his famous lines, “Up yours!” and “You know what I mean, Jellybean”.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec 27, 2018, at 1 pm, at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, 506 N Cable Road, Lima, OH, 45805. Burial at Memorial Park Cemetery will follow immediately after the service where VFW Post 1275 and the US Army Guard will perform military rites. Friends and family may attend his visitation, Wednesday, Dec 26, at 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home.
