

Ronald Eugene Pitson, 52, of Lima passed away March 18, 2015, at his residence. He was born April 2, 1962, in Lima to Fred C. and Loreen M. Maas Pitson. On September 13, 2002, he married Kemberly Caudill Pitson, and she survives in Lima.
Ron is survived by his children: Latricia Nebrida, Frank Pitson, Ashton Pitson, Jordan Pitson, and Zach Parsons; two grandsons, Kaiden and Bryler Nebrida. He is also survived by his mother and stepfather, Loreen and Tom Williams, his mother and father in law, Ken and Ella Caudill , one brother-in-law, Ken Caudill (Brother Matthew, Brigittine Order) of Amity, Oregon, and by his siblings: Steven (Deb) Pitson, David ( Sharon) Pitson, Randal ( Barb) Pitson, all of Lima, Mary (Mark) Stoneburner, of Marion, Ohio, Karen (Scot) Lingrell, of Carrollton, Georgia, and Teresa (Karl) Horning, of Cleveland, Ohio, and by fifteen nieces and nephews and thirteen great nieces and nephews.
Ron lived in Lima his entire life. He was a young Lima News carrier in the north end, worked at a few local gas stations and pizza places, and later made his career as a truck driver travelling across country. He was known by fellow truck drivers as “Cookie Man.” Sensitive and introspective, Ron often snapped photos of beautiful sunrises or sunsets sending them to loved ones back home or posting to facebook.
Ron grew up at St. Gerard’s parish and was a 1980 graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School. He later became a member of St. Rose parish and was a tireless volunteer who helped to raise funds for the church and school, earning the nickname of “50/50 ticket guy.”
Ron was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and devoted family man. Ron never met anyone who wasn’t an immediate friend. He loved motorcycles, playing Euchre and cooking his specialty, beef and noodles.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Rose Catholic Church on Thursday, March 26, at 11:00 am. with Ron’s cousin, Father James Morman, T.O.R.officiating. Burial to follow at Gethsemani Cemetery.
