Rose Elizabeth Berron

Rose Elizabeth Berron, 96, of St. Marys and formerly of Lima, died at 4:10 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. She was born July 19, 1922, in Celina, to Carl and Ida (Green) Myrenius who preceded her in death. She was married to George Berron. Rose was the mother of four daughters: Georgia Ann (Tom) Grunden, Rebecca Sue Spencer, Carol Jean (James) Peterson and Roberta Kay (Jerry) McGlothen; eight grandchildren: Nanette Grunden (dec’d) Lisa (Bob) Fitzgerald, Heather (Kevin) Glass, Alex (Kathi) Grunden, Jenny (Brian) Bultemeier, Meaghan Spencer, Karie (Michael) Matejka and Laurie (James) Parks; and fifteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Mewhorter and a son-in-law, George Spencer. Rose had various jobs in her long life, working as an administrative assistant at Ametek in El Cajon, CA, a secretary at the St. Marys Chamber of Commerce, the A.A.A. Auto Club and for Goodyear Tire & Rubber all in St. Marys, and for New Creation Lutheran Church, Lima. She was a former member of Soroptimist, St. Marys, and enjoyed arts and crafts, painting pictures and making jewelry. Funeral services will begin at Noon, Monday, Sept. 10, 2018 at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, Lima, with Rev. William Maki officiating. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys.
