She was born Oct. 8, 1950, in Rushville, IN, to Wade Hatfield and Mary Louise (McAfee) Bailey who are both deceased. On August 10, 1968, she married Michael Kenneth Eilerman who died July 17, 1995.

Sally was a faithful believer in the Lord and sacrificed all she had for her family. She treasured her children and grandchildren and was blessed to have the Shawnee School Transportation Department and Staff as a second family. Sally spent 30+ years driving school bus for Shawnee and Apollo School systems and always greeted her “children” with a smile, a hug and likely a cookie! She touched many lives over those years with her loving spirit. Sally was a strong woman with even stronger family values. She was a faithful, loving wife for 27 years of marriage and even after her husband passed she continued to be his wife on earth waiting patiently until she could be reunited with her best friend. November 6, 2014, was a celebration of those two soul mates that finally found their way back together in heaven after 19 long years.
She attended First Baptist Church, Lima, and worked for many years in the office of Winona Lake, with her other second family. She loved sewing, bedazzling clothing, when her kids were young, but most of all, her grandchildren.
