Thelma Irene Highland Johnson

Thelma Irene Johnson, 92 of Lima passed away 7:56 a.m. Tuesday morning, July 9, 2013 at Lima Manor Nursing Home. She was born on December 18, 1920 in Allentown to Florence Highland and she preceded her in death.

In 1938 she married John H. Johnson and he died February 13, 1991. She is also preceded in death by a son, Gary Johnson and three grandchildren.

Thelma is survived by three children, Mary Jane (Thomas) Miller, Sr. of Lima, Jackie (Irwin) Puckett of Defiance and Betty J. (Lee) Fensler of Ada. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law Dolores Johnson of Elida, ten grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Johnson was a devout Christian; she was a member of Lima Baptist Temple; she was a great homemaker, a wonderful mother, grandmother and an all around good person. Her family was her life, she was devoted entirely to them.

Graveside Services will be 11:30 a.m., Friday, July 12, 2013 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida, Ohio officiated by Rev. Gary Hohman.
