Dear Debra,
I am sorry to hear of Tom's death. It just seemed, no matter the diagnosis, he always moved strongly forward. You know, I'm sure, the fulness of his suffering like no other besides Jesus. As I today read the obituary, I was deeply moved by our loss. I do so look forward to seeing him again. We had many great conversations at the store and there in your home when I visited him while in hospice. I will be praying for you and the family. Sincerely: Ron Boyer

Deb...I don't know what to say but need to say something. I'm just numb. Tom and I grew up together, like brothers. In fact, I never spoke of him as my "cousin" but always as my "brother". I just wish the family had been closer, but I know you understand why that didn't happen. But I always tried to stay in close touch with Tom. Now I can...through prayer. He is not gone, Deb, but lives in God and is therefore near to us all. +May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. And may Light perpetual shine upon him. May his memory be eternal in Christ. Amen. My love to you and the kids.

Praying with Tom these past months has been such an amazing experience. It was always evident how strong and spiritual Tom was. Tom helped me, as well as the rest of Lima Life Teen grow closer to God, due to his incredible ministring. Tom will be greatly missed, and will never be forgotten.

This is such sad news. I had not seen Tom in years but always felt a kinship because we shared years of interest in music at Lima Sr. High School and before.
My condolences. God bless Tom and family

Dear Deb, Jonathan, Jennifer, Julie and Families:

Tom was a person of many interests and talents. He had the ability to put a positive spin on things and when we were getting to know him back in the good 'ole 1970s, he was full of energy, enthusiasm and fun to be with. Perhaps those traits were constants in his life, in spite of poor health. One thing I am sure never changed: His passionate love for all of you. His legacy is profound. I never look at a hotdog without remembering how he convinced Jonathan that it was a tube STEAK, and that was enough at age 6 for Johnathan to stop throwing a fit about wanting the steak on the grill that was for us adults! Many fond memories of those "early" years, you kids as pre-schoolers, time at Epworth U.M. and many eveings of laughing together while watching Saturday Night Live.
Love and prayers for all of you,

Alberta and Charlee McConnell
