Cliff’s Last Thanksgiving.

This Thanksgiving photo will always hold a special place in my heart. It was our grandson’s very first Thanksgiving, surrounded by family and so many happy memories. We never knew then that it would also be Cliff’s last Thanksgiving with us.
I always enjoyed Cliff’s company. He was kind, warm, and I especially appreciated how interested he was in my photography adventures. I always enjoyed sharing that part of my life with him.
My prayers are with Cliff’s family during this difficult time. May they find comfort and peace in the countless memories he left behind, and may those memories carry them through the days ahead.
Rest peacefully, Cliff. You will be missed and remembered with love. ❤️

I remember the days Cliff you and I sat around your kitchen table and talked for hours about everything and anything.
I remember when Cliff got out of the Army and for a short time we were roomates. He introduced me to the Who’s Tommy!
I remember many backpacking trips, one time in early Spring with Cliff, Larry and Bill we crossed creek on a snow bridge thar collapsed after we crossed it!
I remember jumping into the whirlpool at Horsetail Falls for the first time. Cliff was fearless and he jumped first. Scared the heck out of me but I did it and survived to do it many more times over the years!
I remember boating on Lake Mead and seeing a huge boulder above us on a huge “cliff” Of course we climbed up and pushed it into the lake and missed sinking our boat by mere inches.
I remember floating down the Stanislaus river with Cliff and Bill. Bill and I capsized when we hit an old mining cable stretched out across the river. Cliff saw us go under and was able to paddle to shore before he hit it. We honestly thought Cliff had drowned because we got separated, we met up with him about an hour later. A very happy reunion!
I remember camping at Nevada Beach many times. Cliff would always have a poem he would read by the campfire. I wish I had a copy of some of those. He always had an interesting and comical perspective.
I remember going to The Bridge School Concerts with Dan and Cliff. The most memorable was seeing The Who in a torrential tain storm….yes the Who, so many years later.
I could go on and on, but I’ll close by saying we were like brothers and I will miss him.
