Delwin Ross Laughridge

Del was born in Minot, North Dakota on February 15, 1936 to Stanley Theodore Anderson and Helen Louise (Berry) Anderson. His father died from pneumonia when Del was three years old leaving his wife to raise their three children, ages 4 years, 3 years and 3 months old.

Stanley Jr. (Joan Zaback), Delwin Ross (Marilyn McLeod) and Gary Martin Anderson were raised by their mother and family members. In 1950, his mother married a widower, Roy Moss Laughridge who had three children of his own, Gary Allen (Helen Elsberry), Jack LeRoy (Sandra Mikkelson/Sharon Shaffer & Kay Guenther) and Delwin Orin (Marliss Batterman) Laughridge.

Roy adopted the Anderson boys and Helen adopted the Laughridge boys. Together Helen and Roy had 2 more sons, Garth Richard (Susan Kehle) and Craig LeRoy (Wendy Mortenson) Laughridge. They made their home in Surrey, North Dakota.

Del met his sweetheart, Marilyn McLeod at Northrup Corporation, Aerospace Manufacturing in Anaheim, California. They fell in love and had two amazing children, Michael Del (Michele Larson, fiancé) and Brett Stephen (Jamie Lowe) Laughridge. He had a beautiful daughter from a previous marriage, Sheila Rae Laughridge Hoiland Murray.

The delight of Del's life was his family. He dearly loved his wife, children, daughter's-in-law and grandchildren. Brett and Jamie gave him two wonderful grandchildren, Brad (Anahi Hernandez) and Julie Laughridge who brought great joy to his life. The family have wonderful memories of spending time together at their home on O Brien Mountain at Lake Shasta, California.

Del is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, 4 brothers, Gary, Jack, Garth and Craig and their families. He is also survived by his sister-in-law's Joan Zaback Laughridge (Stanley) and Marliss Batterman Laughridge (Delwin Orin) and their families. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Stanley, Delwin Orin and Gary Martin Laughridge.

His devoted and loving wife of 63 years and family will miss him very much, but they are grateful to have had many years to share their lives with him. The family has faith they will join him once again in Heaven.
