Donald Vincent Walker Sr.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donald Vincent Walker, Sr. He was born on October 14, 1930, in New Orleans, LA. to Joseph and Myrtle Walker. He entered eternal rest on October 25, 2018.

After 27 years, Donald retired as the painting supervisor from CSU, Sacramento in 1991. He and his wife, Nancy, lived in Oregon House, CA from 1989-2012. In Oregon House he was an active member of the Yuba Feather Lions Club serving as past president five times and two times as Region Chairman. He was the 2004-2005 District Lion of the Year and Melvin Jones Fellow. In 2012 they moved to Lincoln, CA. Donald made many friends wherever he went. He was avid bowler, S.F. Giants and 49ers fan until the end.

He was preceded in death by his parents, ex-wife and life-long friend Elnora Walker, brothers: Ralph Walker, Sr., Merlin Walker, Sr., and sister Audrey Mae Walker.

Donald V. Walker, Sr. leaves behind his loving wife of 28 years, Nancy, brothers: Roy Walker, Earl Walker, Lloyd Walker, sister Delores Williams, his children: Dionne Klann (Wallen), Cynthis Summers (Todd), Judy Covington (Joseph), Donna McDaniel (Michael), Donald V. Walker Jr., Mark Walker, Eric Walker Sr. (Sandra), Vonda Walker (Rita), step-sons: Chris Kuntz (Debbie), John Kuntz (Paula), and Tommy Dixon. In addition, he leaves behind 38 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and his beloved Toy Poodle Joy-Joy.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 3-7 p.m. at Lincoln Funeral Home, 406 H St. Lincoln, CA 95648. His celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Granite Springs Church 1170 E. Joiner Parkway, Lincoln, CA 95648. The interment will be Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Keystone Cemetery, Dobbins, CA.
