She proudly served her country in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1954. The strength, independence, and dedication she brought to that service stayed with her for the rest of her life. She was resilient and tough, and just as kind. An artist with a creative spirit, a wonderful cook who brought people together around her table, and a talented seamstress, she taught her family much of what they know. Even in her years with dementia, glimpses of that creative side remained. She would still smile and laugh, full of joy.
Her greatest gift was the love she gave her family. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was the cornerstone of her family. Her presence brought comfort and happiness, and her love will continue through the family she leaves behind.
She was deeply loved.
She will be deeply missed.
And she will never be forgotten.
