Gary Francis Bump
July 7, 1946 – January 21, 2020
On January 21, 2020, Gary Francis Bump passed away peacefully. Born July 7. 1946, Gary was 73. He was born and raised in Chowchilla, California working on the family ranch, and graduated from the California State University of Fresno, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Gary spent his career working for the US Department of Agriculture, US Forest Service and Natural Resources and Conservation Service Departments in the fields of transportation engineering and then information technology for a combined 42 years of public service. He was a very intelligent, renaissance man who could fix anything and loved woodworking, playing and watching sports, coaching his daughters playing softball, and being out in nature. He is preceded in death by his parents Dalton and Mary Bump, and his wife Judi Bump. He is survived by his older brother Ray Bump, his younger sisters Jane Estep and Kathy Lopez, and his daughters Sheri Lasick and Vicki Dean, and grandchildren Robert Lasick, Cheyenne Lasick, Raven Lasick, Shania Dean, Tawnee Dean, Bethann Dean, Anna Dean, and Kylie Dean, and great-grandson Mason, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He will be missed by all.
He will be laid to rest on Thursday, January 30, 2020 along side his wife Judi Bump in South Lake Tahoe, California with a simple grave side service.
