George Pickel

George Pickel was born on November 5, 1931 in Shanghai, China. He passed away on May 6, 2022 in Carmichael, California. George Pickel is preceded in death by his wife, of 66 years, Virginia Pickel, his son Kenneth Pickel, his brother Valerie Pikiel, sister Valya, sister Nadine, and his parents, Anatole and Barbara Pikiel. He is survived by his daughter Victoria Gake, granddaughters Heather Gake and Emily Gake, and his sister Helen Farrell. He is also survived by nephew Victor Pikiel, niece Monique, and many other relatives in Australia.

George enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling, camping, fitness, financial analysis, wine tasting, and preparing delicious meals for family and friends.

Some of his major achievements include serving as a corporal in the U.S. Air Force, Graduating from the University of California at Berkeley with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, becoming a certified Financial Planner, and organizing charity work for the United Way.

A funeral service and celebration of life to follow at a later date.
