Karen E. Bearce, age 60, passed on peacefully into Our Fathers hands on Dec. 11th, 2018 at Sutter Roseville Medical Center, CA. after a struggle with cancer. Karen is reunited in her passing with her mother Minnie M. Dorman and her brother Dave Leverton who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her Father Henry Leverton, brother Frank Leverton, daughter Stephanie Torres and grandchildren Jeremiah and ElianahTorres.
Karen was born on June 30th, 1958 in San Fernando, CA to Minnie Dorman and Henry Leverton. As a young girl she was always singing and dancing and before her passing she was able to be awarded the coveted" BEST SILLY SONGMAKER" award by her two grandchildren. If you knew Karen you are aware of her desire to be a comedian. Sometimes her ever-changing hairstyles received the biggest laughs. Who knew hair could take that much bleach without completely falling out!? Anyone remember the "DAVID BOWIE" look or human cotton ball?
Karen loved the beach, camping and nature in general. She was an animal lover, mostly dogs. Another of her passions was food. " Hide the fudge, cake, pie, etc if you want a piece ...Karen is here." If you knew her that is self-explanatory.
She would happily tell you her greatest accomplishment in this life was her daughter. And then she would tell you again, and again. She would really tell anyone. The person next to her in line at Walgreens. The lady sitting near her at the doctors office. If you had ears you would hear about her kid.
Karen was special and those who knew her knew she was not excluded from the hard struggles and valleys of this life. But I ask you today as you read this, to remember the happy and joyous times you had with her. Remember her smile and laugh because that is what she would want. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her unconditionally. I ask that if you will, please find comfort in one of her favorite verses.
" For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth nor any other created thing shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. "
Romans 8:38-39
She believed that. Thank you for remembering her and laughing out loud today when you think of a happy time you shared with her. Until we meet again....
