Linda and I were friends while working at Oak Grove School District Office in San Jose, CA, many years ago.  I liked her and respected her in every way.  She was nice, gracious and smart.  She always spoke lovingly of her husband, John, and I believe they had a son.  They were a happy family.
The last time I saw and talked to Linda and John was probably 20 years ago when we ran into each other at a restaurant in Pacific Grove, CA, where I resided then, and she and John were dining.  It was then that she told me they would be moving to Lincoln.
It is sad to know she has passed.  There are good memories, and I remember her well.  My condolences to John and his son.  I am so sorry for your loss.                              A friend, Evelyn Minneci

I am one of those people who met Linda during the last few years of her life. She and her amazing husband, John, would joyfully participate in karaoke with us at a Lincoln, CA restaurant, where "regulars" would stream in on a Saturday night and sing their hearts out.

When it was Linda's turn to sing, she would zoom up to the microphone in her powered wheelchair, turn the monitor around for all to see, and sing her favorite songs, hoping for others to join in. John would break out his harmonica to accompany her as well as others. And each time, the admiration on Linda's face was obvious. She beamed and heaped praise upon her loving partner every chance she could.

To me, Linda was an individual who refused to be defeated. Having been told about her many health challenges, it wasn't surprising to me that the people whose lives she touched were many and loving -- especially those in her immediate family. I'm sure she left an indelible mark on them.  We will miss Linda's smiling face,  her voice, her kindnesses, and will take with us her unfailing courage to face life's toughest challenges. 

Linda, I wish I had known you longer. We were blessed to have you in our lives.
