Ted is preceded in death by his father Karl Berndtson, and mother Georgiana Berndtson. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Silvia, son Timothy, sister Barbara, niece Shauna, numerous cousins, and a large contingent of friends and colleagues who loved and respected him deeply.
Ted enjoyed playing cards with friends, golfing, traveling with his family and friends, summer pool parties in the backyard, joking around with everyone, and spending quiet moments with his wife and son.
Some of his major achievements include 43 proud years as a law enforcement officer, during which he received countless awards and commendations for his service, including honors from the city of Half Moon Bay, and the California State Senate.
Family and friends are invited to a Mass on Thursday, January 17, from 11am to 12pm at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Rocklin, CA. A Celebration of Life is to follow the mass at Catta Verdera Country Club in Lincoln, California.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and the American Cancer Society.
