After five courageous years battling cancer, she passed peacefully and is now pain-free.
Born in Los Angeles on April 26, 1943, to Bill and Mary Rodriguez, Yvonne inherited a creative spirit from her father and a strong, nurturing heart from her mother. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Yvonne dedicated her life to caring for others—especially her beloved children and grandchildren, with whom she spent countless hours.
She shared 48 beautiful years of marriage with her husband, Mike, creating memories along the Southern California coast and the shores of Lake Tahoe where she loved to spend vacations with family.
Faith was the cornerstone of her life—she found deep joy in her Bible study groups and in reading Scripture daily. One of her guiding verses was Proverbs 3:5: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
Known for her warmth, service, and impressive collection of cookbooks, Yvonne’s love for cooking and crafting was only matched by the love she gave to those around her.
She is survived by her husband Mike, her children Cher, Brandon, and Ryan, and six adoring grandchildren. Though we grieve her loss, we also rejoice in her legacy—a life well lived, a faith well kept, and a family forever blessed by her presence.
Finally, she would want us to remember the love we all shared as a family.
