

Adolph Walter Restau Jr. was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on June 28, 1925 to Adolph Walter Sr. and Jennie Marie (Miller) Restau. He passed away on June 5, 2019. Adolph graduated from Garland High School, Garland, Nebraska in 1941, and immediately entered the US Navy. He served during WWII in the Pacific Theatre from 1941 through 1945 on a mine sweeper. He returned home and married Betty Jean Herbert of Ellis Kansas on October 6, 1946 in Marysville Kansas. They lived in Lincoln and he worked as a machinist in the tool and dye division for the Hy Gain Company, which eventually became Telex Corporation. He retired after working there for over 35 years. Adolph enjoyed playing and watching golf. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially the mountains and Estes Park Colorado. He enjoyed fishing, and attending his Grandchildren’s activities.
He is preceded in death by his Wife Betty, his Sister Betty Ahrens, and his Uncles: Walter, Arthur and Edward, and his Aunt Julia Riess.
He is survived by his Children: Deborah & Marvin Schwab and Dennis and Karen Restau. Also his Grandchildren: Ben and Kerri Schwab, Nick and Emily Restau, Kellen Restau, Rachel and Shawn Johanson. Great Grandchildren: Trenton and Landyn Johanson, Electa Restau, Ethan Schwab, Kade Schwab, Katie Torres.
Adolph will live on in the hearts and minds of those who know and loved him.
