Allen “Al” W. Watsek, age 74, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on November 29th, 2025, in Lincoln. He was born on October 31, 1951, in Humboldt, Nebraska to Albert and Darleen Watsek. He graduated from UNL. He drove for Omalink for many years. He returned to work at NTT Data post retirement. He had a love of coaching basketball, bowling and traveling to Las Vegas with his brother-in-law Don. You could find him playing cards with the “Fab 5”. He was a lifelong New York Yankees fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Jody Watsek; his daughters Erin (Chris) Schmidt and Ashley (Andrew) Lundstrom; Grandchildren Carson Schmidt, Chandler Lundstrom, Evelyn Lundstrom, Eleanor Lundstrom; sister Gwen (Watsek) Belden and his loving dogs Audi and Esther.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 pm, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St., Lincoln, Nebraska 68512.
A Graveside Burial will take place with family only.
Memorials are in the care of the family for future designation.
