Billie N. Jaques

Billie Nadine Jaques was born to Ralph and Velma (Kelly) Clarence in Hamburg, Iowa on June 29, 1928. Her family moved to Lincoln, NE in the 1930’s where Billie attended Irving Junior High School and briefly attended Lincoln High School. Billie left Lincoln High before graduation to support herself by working at Baker’s Shoe Store in downtown Lincoln. She then learned book keeping working for Mr. Hedges. Billie married Robert B. Jaques September 14, 1947 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Billie became a stay-at-home mother when Marvin was born. She eventually resumed her book keeping career at Midwest Machinery and Supply Company which she and Bob partially owned. Bob and Billie sold their stake in the company and retired in 1995. Billie’s passion in life was for caring for and looking out for everyone she knew.

Celebrating Billie’s life are children Marvin (Cathy) Jaques, Debra (Dennis) Roberts, Roger (Tami) Jaques, Karen Jaques, Judy (Terry) Larson all of Lincoln and Christie (Michael) Schweitzer of Bedford, Iowa, sister-in-law Jackie Clarence, thirteen grandchildren, Twenty-two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband Robert, parents, stepfathers Wilfred McKee and Ralph Hoaglen, siblings Bobby Clarence, Richard Clarence, Delores (Robert) Wagner, sister-in-law Jean (Udell) Collamore and by great grandson Camden King.

A visitation will be held on Sunday April 7th, 2024 from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St., Lincoln, NE 68512. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will follow beginning at 2:00 P.M. at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, 6700 S. 14th St., Lincoln, NE 68512. The family suggests everyone wear bright colors, floral or Nebraska attire in honor of Billie.
