Carol Marie Disney (77) was born in Auburn, NE, on March 19, 1944, to parents Edwin and Caroline Meyer. She moved to Lincoln, NE, and met her husband, Ronald Lee Disney, at the Department of Roads in 1966. They married on June 30, 1967, and had been together for 54 years. In 1969, they had their daughter, Kim, and in 1973, had their daughter Chris.
Carol started working at Christ Lutheran Church in 1969, where she worked for 25 years. She then worked at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, East Campus, for 10 years before she retired in 2004. Her granddaughters, Kelly and Katie, were born in 1991 and 1996. Her great-grandson, Waylon, was born in 2017.
Carol loved cats, reading, doing puzzles, grilling out with family and friends, bowling, and gardening and admiring flowers. She also adored watching and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by parents, Edwin and Caroline Meyer.
She is survived by Husband, Ronald Lee Disney; sister Geri (Del) Niebrugge; daughters, Kimberly (Kevin) and Christine; granddaughters, Kelly (Justin) and Katie; great-grandson, Waylon; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 11:00am, at Grace Lutheran Church. 2225 Washington St, Lincoln, NE. Funeral Service will follow at 12:00pm. Interment at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. 6700 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE. A Lunch Reception will follow the interment at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. 6800 S. 14th St, Lincoln, NE.
