Carol Marlene Flowerday

Marlene was born May 26, 1942 to Charles and Frank (Anderson) Faubion in Cody, NE. She departed this life on December 4, 2023 in Mossyrock, WA at the age of 81.

Marlene wore many hats during her lifetime that formed her into the wife, mother and grandmother she had become. She was passionate about ranching, farming, gardening, fixing hair, and raising 5 children; each of which would cause some panic, but also bring much amusement, comfort and joy. She had a special affinity for her very large strawberry patch that received special attention and countless hours of TLC. Marlene was a creative and talented cook. She could turn seemingly nothing into a delicious meal with little effort. Sisters Inga and Joyce played an integral part of her daily life, as she spent many hours chatting it up with them on the phone. Her latest dedication and affection was being the homeschool teacher for her grandchildren Ryden and Andrea. For the past ten plus years, she resided with daughter Tonda and family. She found herself in beautiful places ranging from Murfreesboro TN, to Lacey WA, and landing in the scenic mountains of Mossyrock WA. Marlene’s 5 children are grown, and all have families of their own, but still carry on some of her learned traits. She will be greatly missed and carried with love in many hearts.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Dale Flowerday and Don Monnier; brothers Dean Schied, Dick Schied, Charles Faubion; sister Alice Monnier. She is survived by her children Tony Marley, Carol McDaniel, Charlene (Brian) Schubauer, Marty (Toni) Monnier, Tonda (Randy) Pruitt; brother Frank Faubion; sisters Inga Gonzalez, Joyce Comstock; grandchildren Amanda LeVelle, Mary Crouch, TJ Marley, Kella Lowe, Trever McDaniel, Tucker McDaniel, Danielle Schubauer, Bailee Schubauer, Rik Tinsley, Kate Marler, Jen Monnier, Jena Siecke, Ryden Pruitt, Andrea Pruitt. . . . .many great and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and many special friends she had “adopted” as family.
