Carolyn grew up in rural Pawnee County, Nebraska, graduated from Lewiston High School and attended Peru State College before marrying her high school sweetheart, LeRoy. Carolyn enjoyed time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; traveling with LeRoy; painting and various craft projects.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, LeRoy, her parents Rita and Deloss Lunsford, and brother Dale Lunsford.
She is survived by daughters: Diane (Clayton Lewis) and Debbie (Jeff Kacirek), grandchildren: Ryan Kacirek (Leah), Kirsten (Jeremiah Omoto), Megan (Dillion Freed), Corryn (Dakota Wilson), Breann Kacirek, five great-grandchildren, sister Janice Fix, brother Jerry Lunsford and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carolyn's Celebration of Life will be Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM with a visitation one hour prior to the service at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska.
