Charlene Rae Johnson

Charlene Rae Johnson, 83, passed away on May 23, 2019, at her home surrounded by family. She fought a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Forest City, IA, on June 5, 1935, to Raymond and Louise (Etzen) Hanson. She was active at church and enjoyed many crafts including quilting and cross-stitching. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.

Charlene is survived by her husband, Clarence of 43 years; a daughter, Becky (Steve); two step-daughters, Linda (Ken) and Lori (Jay); a stepson, Randy, all from Lincoln; three sisters, Marcelle (Lester), Deloryce, and Lenore (Steve); 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, and her dear friends, Ann and Anita.

Charlene was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim; her parents; three brothers-in-law; and two sisters-in-law.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Thursday, May 30th, at 10:00am at Grace Lutheran Church, 2225 Washington Street, Lincoln, NE 68502. Reception immediately following the service with burial at Lincoln Memorial Park at 1:00pm, meet at Gate 2. Visitation at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Wednesday, May 29th.
