Charlene Marie Luecker

Charlene Marie Luecker, age 72, of Raymond, died peacefully at home on April 1, 2025. The second of eight siblings, Charlene was born on July 17, 1952 to Herald and DelMary (Kotas) Wiltshire in Lincoln, Ne. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1970. She then attended Lincoln School of Commerce.

On January 18, 1973, she married Michael Showalter. They had two sons, Michael and Shawn. They later divorced. Charlene met the love of her life, Richard “Rick” Luecker, in 1985. They spent many happy years together, riding on Rick’s Harley, visiting casinos, and spending time with family. Charlene had a resilient spirit that carried her through a lifelong battle with diabetes and the loss of Rick in 2008. The following years were tough, but in 2010, she was blessed with her granddaughter, Brionna, who became her most cherished companion. She retired from a 39-year long career at Kawasaki Motors in 2017.

Charlene is survived by her sons, Shawn and girlfriend Amanda of Lincoln, Mike of Plattsmouth; two grandchildren, Brionna and William; three step-grandchildren, Maggie, Andrew, and Connor; mother DelMary Wiltshire; sisters Linda Carlson and Kathleen Carpenter; brothers Derald Wiltshire, Mark (Chris) Wiltshire, David (Stacey) Wiltshire; and many nieces and nephews. Charlene was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard Luecker; her father, Herald Wiltshire; sister Debra Wiltshire; brother Herald Wiltshire; daughter-in-law Nickie Showalter; and brother-in-law Richard Carlson.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 South 14th Street Lincoln, Nebraska. Pastor Barb Smisek officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 9 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home.
