

and his family. They loved to travel all over it didn't matter if it was Omaha, Hawaii or Mexico. He enjoyed going to their lake cabin in Fremont where his favorite pastime was driving the boat while others waterskied. He served in the Air Force where he was able to pick up a trade of sheet metal that later took him into owning his own Heating and Air Business called Quality Heating and Air. He was a very hard-working man and a jokester at the same time, that gave him so much pleasure not only in his work but in meeting new people who he would also call his friends. One of his first hobbies was training field trial dogs and he ended up having the first field trial champion in Nebraska a German Short Haired Pointer named Vall, he loved all animals, but he loved his dogs the most. When he retired, they continued to spend time at the cabin in Fremont and in the winter, they would travel to Texas where it was much warmer than in Nebraska and they were able to meet new people.
Charlie is preceded in death by wife of over 70 years Rosalie VanArsdall (January 4, 2022) He is survived by his daughter LaDonna VanArsdall; grandchildren, Charles (Amanda) Brayman, Rosalie (Michael) Schoenleber; great-grandchildren, Vaughn Schoenleber and Brielle Schoenleber. He has many nieces, nephews, cousins some he called 3rd leg or shirttail relatives.
