Connie was born on March 4, 1952, to Eunice and Richard Hall in Lincoln, Nebraska. After attending the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, Connie graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1973 and a Master’s Degree in 2000, both in education. During her career in making a difference in the lives of children, Connie taught for many years in and around Lincoln before retiring in 2013. Her favorite subjects were English and Reading. She truly was a “Grammar Queen.”
At Pound Junior High, Connie met her future husband, Ron. They dated “on and off” throughout high school, marrying while she was in college on June 16, 1972. The pair went on to raise two amazing daughters, Tina and Katie.
Connie loved her dogs, Maggie and Chloe, and those who had crossed the “Rainbow Bridge.” She enjoyed hobbies such as gardening, reading, shopping, and trying out restaurants, always keeping P.F. Chang’s as her favorite. Connie served as Tina and Katie’s Girl Scout Troop Leader for many years. She also especially enjoyed traveling, including frequent trips to the family condo in Estes Park, Colorado, one of her most treasured abodes.
Connie was preceded in death by her mother, Eunice Hall; her father, Richard A. Hall; her brother, Jerry Hall; her father-in-law, Marv Navratil; and her brothers-in-law, Ken Navratil and Dan Navratil. She is survived by her husband, Ron Navratil; her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Cleve Reeves; her daughter and future son-in-law, Katie and Kyle Torczon; her brother, Richard L. Hall; her grandchildren, Jackson and Kendal Reeves; her mother-in-law, Darlene Navratil; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Cal Paschold; and her many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
Services will be held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home on October 12, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for designation to be determined at a later date.
