Curtis Lee Banister was born on May 23rd, 1956 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Doris A and James C Banister. From that moment on if Curt was ever down you wouldn’t have known it. Everything he did was going to be bigger and better.
After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1978 his career spanned all types of businesses. It ranged from retail and restaurant/hotel management to direct marketing. His effusive personality earned him lasting friendships with his co-workers and others.
Throughout his life he was an avid golf and darts player and a big Nebraska fan, especially the Husker Women’s Volleyball team. He was proud to help them set their single game attendance record with his sister Sue.
One thing that could certainly be said about Curt is that when life got hard, he never gave up, he never stopped looking for something bigger and better. He found that something on May 30th 2024 when he went to be with his Lord and Savior.
