Daniel L. Damewood, age 67, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away February 18, 2019 at Bryan Health West in Lincoln, NE. Funeral services will be Friday, February 22, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Havelock United Methodist Church in Lincoln with Pastor Todd Karges officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Lincoln Memorial Park. Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Dan was born August 9, 1951, to Lloyd Damewood and Elizabeth (McNeil) in Lincoln. Dan attended Lincoln schools, and graduated from Norris High School in 1969. On August 29, 1970, he was united in marriage. To this union two sons were born. Dan attended Milford Community College. He started his own plumbing, heating, air conditioning & refrigeration business in 1976. During his 40+ years in the industry he enjoyed working and always met each day with a smile. On May 2, 1987, he was united in marriage to LuAnn V. Oberg. Dan was baptized and confirmed at Havelock United Methodist. Dan was an Eagle Scout. He was a member of the Sesostris Shriners, Scottish Rite, Cotner Lodge and the PHCC Association. Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, LuAnn; children, Randy (Annette) Damewood, and Ben (Melissa Sanne) Damewood of Lincoln; three grandchildren, Autumn, Summer and Evan Damewood; parents, Lloyd and Elizabeth Damewood; sister Pam (Tom) Kohn. Other survivors include nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends, and his very special English Chocolate Lab, Tucker.
