Daren lived his life in Lincoln with his wife, Sheila. They were married for 24 years and had two sons; Disney and Casper. Daren was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Daren worked in all trades of construction and carpentry including running his own business.
Besides his family, he loved and enjoyed Disney World trips, goats, dogs, fishing, golfing, Converse shoes, Winnie the Pooh, Star Wars, and the Grateful Dead music.
Daren is survived by his wife, Sheila, sons Disney and Casper; parents Emil and Dianne Turek; in-laws Rodney and Barbara Weckman; brother Greg (Yucelyn) Turek; brothers and sisters in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Daren is preceded in death by his grandparents Karl and Marjorie Groteluschen and Emil and Margaret Turek.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, located at 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska, 68512. The service is scheduled for Thursday, November 6, 2025, starting at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family for later designation. Donations can be sent to 6800 South 14th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska, United States.
