Dariel Ann “Mac” McFadden, 85, passed away on July 5, 2018. Mac was born on November 13, 1932 to Maurice and Ruby Daharsh. She graduated from Hickman High School in 1951. On May 2, 1953 she married Neil “Tiny” McFadden. She taught school at Douglas School then trained to be a nurse and worked at Bryan Hospital. She later became a scrub nurse for Dr. Weyrauch and Dr. Reed. Alongside her husband they started “Tiny’s excavating”. She also worked at Lincoln General and for LeRoy Irons Trucking. Mac enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed fishing at Grandpa’s Woods, gardening, playing cards and was an avid Nebraska sports fan. She is survived by her daughter, Laura (Dale) Winters; she was like a mom to nephews, Wm. “Bill” (Ruth) Daharsh and Gary (Mary) Daharsh Sr.; grandchildren, Matthew (Denise) Daharsh, Samantha (Derek) Gewecke, Heather (Justin) McCown, Malissa (Michael) Ladwig, Joshua (Marie) Kinney and Gary Daharsh Jr.; close friends, Jim Stewart and June Balance along with many other family members, nieces, nephews and friends. She was a stranger to no one. She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Tiny and brothers, Damon, Dale, Loye “Bud” and Delmar Daharsh. Services officiated by Pastor Alan Brehm of Hickman Presbyterian Church.
