

Darlene Pearl (Brott) Morrissey, age 87, of Lincoln, formerly of Tecumseh, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Born August 19, 1935 in Tecumseh to Lloyd R. and Rosa E. (Brammann) Brott. Graduated from Tecumseh High School. Married Jack Dean Morrissey on June 19, 1953, from this union came two children, daughter Teresa Rose "Terri" and son Roger Lloyd. Darlene sold Avon for many years, worked at Campbell's Soup, Johnson county sheriff's office, tecumseh school, and Ben Franklin. She Bowled for many years and loved to crochet lap blankets, sew craft projects, read good books and romance novels, collect depression glass and enjoyed country music, attending concerts with her daughter. Darlene and Jack, were married for 53 years, they moved to Lincoln in 1992 to be closer to family, watching the grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. Darlene was an avid fan at Lincoln Saltdogs baseball games, enjoyed Husker sports and the Kansas City Royals. She adored her dogs Zachary and Jasper.
Survived by daughter Terri Fraser; granddaughter Jen Fraser and partner Carl Scott, grandson Matthew Morrissey, granddaughter Sara and spouse JD Gragg; great-grandchildren Loghan, Ransom, Landon, Rylend, Oaklyn, Brynn, Brett, Drew, Barrett and Brendan.
Preceded in death by parents, husband, son, two sisters, and one brother.
Graveside services at 11am on Friday, June 16th at Tecumseh Cemetery. Memorials to the Capital Humane Society.
