Darrell Werner Bolles

Darrell Warner Bolles, age 82, of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025. Darrell was born in Tecumseh, NE on June 17, 1943, to the late Werner and Rosie (Wilken) Bolles. After graduating high school, he tried a few jobs, but ultimately chose a career with the gas company known as cengas at that time, which is now known as Black Hills Energy. Darrell proudly served 40+ years of service, and of those 40+ years, he honorably held a perfect attendance record.

Darrell had a love for his classic Chevy vehicles, especially his 1927 Chevy truck that belonged to his dad. Attending as many car shows as he could throughout the summer. He enjoyed his beloved John Deere A tractor as well, anticipating the annual Camp Creek Thrasher show so he could proudly drive it in the parade.

Darrell is survived by his sister Donna (Dennis) Dermann and his lovely daughters Tammy Bolles, Brenda (Roger)Borchers, and Shelly (Tod) Stertz; grandchildren, Ashlee (Jace) Wikoff, Austin Bolles (Liz Perry), Torri (Ben) Wikoff, Cody (Amy) Stertz, Nathen Stertz and Jamil Bolles. Great grandchildren: Ryder Wikoff, Beckett Wikoff, Alivia Wikoff, Oakley Wikoff, Maverick Wikoff, Ariya Bolles and Calvin Stertz.

Darrell is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years to Kathleen, Brother Delton Bolles, sister-in-law Connie Bolles and his parents Warner and Rosie Ahrens (Bolles).

As many would know, Darrell was a man of few words. Although he appreciates us all celebrating his life, he would just tell us all “see y’all down the road!”

A visitation will be held on November 11, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by a funeral service on November 12, 2025, at 2:00 pm, both at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S 14th St., Lincoln, NE 68512.

Memorials are in the care of the family for future designation.
