Daryl W Suhr

Daryl W. Suhr born on December 25, 1952, passed away peacefully at his daughter Jessica’s home on July 19, 2026, at the age of 73. Daryl was the eldest of three children born to Alvin and Norma (Loos) Suhr.

Daryl grew up in Lincoln. He attended Hayward Elementary and College View Academy. As a young man, Daryl managed a dairy farm in Seward, Nebraska, for several years before becoming a crew member of a construction company that built hotels across the United States. He took pride in the work he did to where he became owner and operator of his own construction business based out of Lincoln. He still traveled quite a lot with his business and would have his favorite companion, his Cocker Spaniel, Joe Dippy, along with him.

When Daryl wasn't working, he enjoyed helping his friends Terry and Darin work on race cars. He spent peaceful time at his daughter Jessica's farm. He had a tremendous love for his children and grandchildren. They meant the world to him. He was affectionately known to his sister, nieces and nephews as Uncle D.

Daryl was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Angel.

He is survived by his three children. His daughter Elizabeth (Cole) Bassinger and their children Ava, Brody and Ryder. His son Ryan (Michelle) Suhr. His daughter Jessica (Jon) Morrow and their children Connor, Dakota and Everett. He is also survived by his siblings Cheryl (Roger) Haecker, John Suhr and Valerie (Scott) Valin as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of Daryl’s life will be held at a later date.
