David A Luedtke 51, Of Lincoln passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016 at his home from Cancer contracted while fulfilling his role as a professional firefighter. David was born in Omaha and started his career with Lincoln Fire and Rescue in 1987 amassing numerous citations for excellence and bravery during his tenure. Dave’s calmness and gentile demeanor was a great value to all the people he served in their times of need. His friends and brother and sister firefighters will remember his underlying whit and sarcasm. The coffee shops and Asian buffets he frequented will miss him. His father former mayor and state legislator Roland, his mother Helen, and his brother Larry preceded him in death. Funeral services: 10 a.m. July 8, 2016 First Free Church 3300 S. 84th street with viewing prior at 9 a.m. or a viewing on July 7, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial at 6800 S. 14th Memorials to Lincoln Firefighters Benefit Association
