
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was born August 21, 1933, in Wheatland, Iowa to Allen Emmons and Bess Emmons (Hoover). Dean graduated from Palmer School of Chiropractic. Dean was a marketing manager for Pepsi Cola of Lincoln for 38 years. Dean served in the United States Coast Guard for 4 years. Dean enjoyed watching sports, especially Nebraska Football, Volleyball and basketball. Dean always enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved to joke around with everyone.
Dean is preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Judy Emmons, who he missed terribly. His brothers Gordon Emmons and Ellis Emmons and sisters Joyce Zate (Emmons) and Avis Kimball (Emmons). He is survived by his daughter Teri Branstetter; son in law Sam Branstetter Jr.; grandson, Zach (Lindsey) Branstetter; two great grandchildren; Colton and Cade Branstetter, all of Lincoln, Ne. and his baby sister; Diane Emmons of Lakeland, Florida.
There will be a small family graveside service for both Dean and Judy Emmons on Feb 6, 2026 @ 10 am at Lincoln Memorial Funeral home.

I will always remember that special smile, that caring heart, that warm welcome you gave everyone. You always being there for mom and me through good times and bad, no matter what. Even though you are no longer physically here, your spirit and kindness will live on in my heart. I was never ready to say goodbye, but I will carry you with me for the rest of my life. I love you dad.
