

Born on Easter Sunday, April 1, 1945, in Lincoln, Nebraska, DeAnn was raised in the city she loved and spent her entire life there. She retired from the County Court after many years of dedicated service.
DeAnn lived a life defined by love, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends. She was known for her warm smile, generous heart, and ability to make everyone feel welcome. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—working on puzzles, gathering every Monday with close friends for puzzle day, reading books, enjoying meals with family and friends, and, above all, cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events and celebrating the many activities that were important to them.
She is survived by her loving children, Christina Bourne and Don Bourne; her daughter-in-law, Tanya Lyon; her cherished grandchildren, Jessica Traudt and her husband, Darrell Traudt, Samantha Friesen, Mitchell Friesen, Riley Friesen, McKenna Bourne, and Evan Bourne; her beloved great-grandchildren, Keith Traudt and Gunner Traudt; and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness and friendship.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Don and Pauline Emert; her brother, Gary Emert; and many beloved aunts and uncles.
DeAnn found great joy in spending time with those she loved. Her greatest pride was her family, and she treasured every moment she shared with them. Whether she was attending a game, celebrating a special occasion, or simply spending time together, she made each person feel loved and supported.
DeAnn will be remembered for her honesty, strength, unwavering loyalty, and the unconditional love she had for her family. She will be remembered for her strength, compassion, sense of humor, and unwavering love. Her legacy will continue through the lives she touched and the memories she leaves behind.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home 6800 SOuth 14th Street, followed by a Graveside Service at 12:00 pm at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery 6700 South 14th Street.
