Mrs. Deloras Ferguson

Deloras “Dee” Dorothy Ferguson age 89 of Milford (formerly of Lincoln) died on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Crestview Care Center in Milford. She was born on a farm on January 29, 1927 near Byron, Nebraska to Ed J. and Bertha (Fangmeyer) Fintel. Dee married Glenn Ferguson on May 2, 1947 in Lincoln. She was a former employee at Elgin Watch Company, a private practice dental surgery assistant, and she was a supervisor for 31 years at the University of Nebraska, College of Dentistry. She was an avid golfer and a dedicated fan of all Husker sports, holding football season tickets since the 1950’s. Dee had a charismatic personality with a heart open for any adventure. Dee loved life to the fullest and embraced her role as a grandmother as well as a great-grandmother. Dee wants all of her friends to know that she is waiting for you on hole #1, ready to tee off in heaven. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church for over 60 years. Dee is survived by her son, Bradley and Karen Ferguson of Lincoln, daughter, Lana and Alan Carter of Milford, 6 grandchildren, Brett Ferguson, Angela and Don Moench, Stephanie Chicoine, Stacy and Jeff Kuklis, Sabreana and Josh Wit, Samantha and Beau Kinnett, 12 great-grandchildren, sister, Lola Zlomke of California, Mildred Buntemeyer of Broken Bow, sisters-in-law, Irene Fintel and Jane Kolling of Deshler. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glenn, brothers, Harlan and Vernon Fintel. A family graveside service, as requested by Dee, will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
