Donald P. Madden, 79, of Sprague, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015. He was born in Troy, KS to Paul and Nora Madden. He grew up in Roca, NE. At the age of 14, he worked at the Rock Quarry near Roca, as a Dynamite blaster. Also at 14, he worked as a Salt delivery truck driver, driving across State lines. At 17 he began an Electrician apprenticeship with his soon to be Father-in-law, Gilbert Heusinkvelt. Donald joined the Nebraska Air National Guard working on Aircraft Engines. In the 60s he worked for Armature and Electric in Omaha, commuting everyday for over 10 years. Later, he worked at Goodyear until retirement in 1998. He was President of the Nebraska State Poultry Association for over 25 years. Donald is well known for hosting the Madden Easter Egg Hunt for over 50 years.
Survivors: Wife; Cleo. Daughters: Janice (David) Oenbring. Jenny Madden, Julie (Michael) Dixon. Grandchildren: Aidan Carlson, Alexandria and Jamison Dixon. Nieces and Nephews.
